Video Room : Park Abbey, in Heverlee

Back to video room page

Park Abbey, a Norbertine abbey founded in the early twelfth century, is located just outside the city of Leuven, Belgium. It is a nice 'family' spot to visit, to walk around, jog or cycle. There are guided tours on Sunday afternoons in summer, allowing access inside the monastery buildings. Artworks include well preserved old stucco's in the refectory and library. The whole area is to be renovated soon. The video features live (carillon concert) music by Boudewijn Zwart.
